REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to engineering engagements invoiced by SKOPAQ AI PRIVATE LIMITED — the design, build and maintenance of AI systems, and the advisory work around them. It is the policy referred to by any quotation, statement of work or invoice we issue.

We sell no physical goods. Nothing is shipped, so there is no delivery, return or replacement policy, and none is missing. Our open-source projects are published free under their own licences and are outside this policy entirely; they are not sold and carry no fee to refund.

2. Currency and taxes

All fees are quoted, invoiced and collected in Indian Rupees (INR). Where an engagement is discussed in another currency, the INR amount on the invoice is the amount payable, and any conversion or bank charge levied by the payer’s institution is the payer’s.

Fees are exclusive of taxes. Goods and Services Tax is added at the rate applicable on the date of invoice. Our GSTIN is 36ABUCS5801K1ZR and it appears on every invoice we issue.

Where you are outside India and the supply qualifies as an export of services under Indian GST law, it is zero-rated and we do not add Indian GST. Any tax or bank charge levied in your own country remains yours. Clause 4 of the terms of service sets out the conditions.

3. Payment terms

Engagements are scoped in writing before any invoice is raised. A deposit is payable on signature; the balance is invoiced against delivery milestones agreed in that scope, with the final invoice raised on completion.

Subscriptions to licensed or hosted software are invoiced in advance for each subscription period.

Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date. Work on a milestone begins once the invoice covering it has been settled, and we will say so plainly rather than starting and invoicing later.

4. Cancelling an engagement

Either party may cancel an engagement at any time by written notice to the other, by email. Cancellation takes effect on the day we acknowledge it.

On cancellation we stop work, invoice for work already performed and not yet invoiced, and hand over the work product produced to that point.

5. Refunds

Fees for work already performed are not refundable. Where an amount has been paid for a scope item on which work has not begun, that amount is refunded in full.

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of us acknowledging the cancellation. We do not deduct a cancellation or administration fee.

Where work on a scope item is part-complete, we refund the unperformed portion assessed against the milestones in the signed scope, and we show that assessment in writing rather than asking you to accept a figure.

Subscriptions work differently, and we would rather say so than have you discover it: cancelling stops the next renewal, and the period you have already paid for runs to its end. We do not refund part of a subscription period you have had access to. If a hosted service was materially unavailable for a period you paid for, tell us — that is a service credit, agreed with you, rather than a refund.

6. Requesting a refund

Email finance@skopaq.com with the invoice number and what you would like refunded. We will acknowledge the request and tell you the amount and the date it will reach you.

If you believe an invoice is wrong, tell us before disputing the charge with your bank or card issuer. A chargeback raised without contacting us first costs both sides time and is resolved with the same evidence we would have sent you directly.

7. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. SKOPAQ AI PRIVATE LIMITED is incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, and the courts of Telangana, India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising under it.
